Dr. Ilona Furman, a Northwest dentist, pursued her childhood dream of becoming a dentist by attending the prestigious University of Washington School of Dentistry, consistently ranked among the top dental schools in the United States. Between 2012 and 2018, she successfully built two dental practices from the ground up with a vision of providing exceptional, patient-centered care through advanced technology, comfort, and convenience—all under one roof. She believes this vision is only possible through the support of a compassionate and dedicated team of healthcare professionals.

Dr. Furman is passionate about lifelong learning and believes that the best patient care comes from continual growth as a provider. She regularly travels across the country to study with leading experts and pursue advanced continuing education in technology, minimally invasive techniques, airway-focused care, and patient comfort.

Her passion for dentistry began early in life. As a child, she experienced significant dental challenges herself, including extractions and extensive orthodontic treatment. Those experiences inspired a lifelong question: how can dentistry become more preventive, less traumatic, and more effective for future generations? Today, that philosophy continues to guide her approach to patient care—focusing on healthier outcomes through gentle, modern, and individualized treatment.

Dr. Furman values building trust with every patient and creating customized treatment plans tailored to each person’s goals and needs. She also believes that artistry and dentistry are deeply connected. With more than 30 years of experience in watercolor, acrylic, and oil painting—many of her works displayed throughout her offices—she brings an artistic eye to smile design, facial harmony, and natural aesthetics. Her background in art has profoundly shaped her love for dentistry and her commitment to creating beautiful, healthy smiles with balanced proportions and healthy tissue.

A proud graduate of the University of Washington, where she also completed her undergraduate studies in biology, Dr. Furman comes from a family legacy of healthcare that includes both her sister and uncle. Inspired to pursue dentistry at just eight years old, she remains deeply committed to clinical excellence through ongoing education, professional affiliations, and a dedication to delivering the highest standard of care to every patient.

Her favorite hobby for over 30 years has been watercolors, oils and acrylic paintings. “I love that art and dentistry go hand in hand. Focusing on the small details brings me the greatest satisfaction!” You will find doc’s original paintings hanging in our two clinics. She am currently focusing on live figure drawing and portrait sculpture.
